Are you the kind of person who notices when a hinge squeaks or a light flicker — and *has to* fix it? Do you take pride in solving problems, working with your hands, and being the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly?

Join our team at the Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park! We’re seeking a hands-on, proactive Maintenance Technician to support both people and animals by ensuring a safe, functional, and fun environment.

What You’ll Do:
🛠️ Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs
🔍 Inspect equipment, address safety concerns, and document all work
🧰 Work on projects involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and more
🤝 Collaborate with animal care and guest services teams
🚨 Respond to urgent issues to minimize disruptions
♻️ Support sustainability efforts and safety protocols

What You Bring:
✔️ Experience in general maintenance or trades (painting, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
✔️ Ability to safely use tools and troubleshoot mechanical systems
✔️ Great communication and time management skills
✔️ Willingness to learn and work both independently and in a team
✔️ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, in tight spaces, around wet environments, etc.
